Do you think it's possible to overwhelm someone with my writing?

I sent a friend some of my writing and now I'm thinking it might have been too much. Of course, the writings that I did send were mostly drawn out over a period of time but putting them altogether in one email just might be overdoing it.

I swear that I'm not a sadistic and scary person!

Eh....screw contemplation. I've wasted an entire day.

No, I wasn't really asking for much of a critique....I suppose. I just think that they are some of my better, darker works. Maybe the genre was overwhelming since it delt with sex of a sort.
